NYK opens Scandinavian Distribution Centre
NYK Logistics (Scandinavia) has just moved to a new centrally located purpose built 27,000m2 Scandinavian Distribution Centre (SDC) in Gothenburg.
This new warehouse brings together NYK’s logistics activities in one 260,000m3 facility which incorporates high bay racks as well as narrow and broad aisles. The large mezzanine floor is ideal for pick and pack activities. In addition, the site benefits from 24 hour class 2 security, including electric fencing.
The new location in Arendal was chosen for its convenient location near Scandinavia’s leading port, the Port of Gothenburg, and is the result of a €17M investment by NYK. Gothenburg is the leading logistics hub in Scandinavia and NYK’s new facility is a prime location for cargo distribution across Scandinavia.
